ANCC is extremely pleased to announce that at this time, ALL ANCC nursing certification examinations are accredited by the American Board of Nursing Specialties (ABNS). ABNS is the only accrediting body specifically for nursing certification. Its rigorous, peer-reviewed accreditation process ensures that all ANCC nursing certification examinations have demonstrated compliance with established ABNS Accreditation Council Standards. This accomplishment signifies that the entire suite of ANCC nursing certification examinations - including all of the processes, procedures, documentation, and verification relating to their development and maintenance - meet the exacting standards required by ABNS to ensure the utmost integrity, defensibility, and soundness of the nursing certification process.
