ANCC INFO


The collaborative relationship between the Society for Vascular Nursing (SVN) & the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) serves as a wonderful model for helping vascular nurses achieve the highest levels of professional knowledge and competence attainable in this key specialty area. Together we have made great strides in raising the bar for the nursing profession and ultimately enhancing patient care.

The SVN is proud to report that the following individuals serve as representatves on behalf of the Society to the ANCC.

ANCC is extremely pleased to announce that at this time, ALL ANCC nursing certification examinations are accredited by the American Board of Nursing Specialties (ABNS).  ABNS is the only accrediting body specifically for nursing certification. Its rigorous, peer-reviewed accreditation process ensures that all ANCC nursing certification examinations have demonstrated compliance with established ABNS Accreditation Council Standards.  This accomplishment signifies that the entire suite of ANCC nursing certification examinations - including all of the processes, procedures, documentation, and verification relating to their development and maintenance - meet the exacting standards required by ABNS to ensure the utmost integrity, defensibility, and soundness of the nursing certification process.
