CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS


The Convention Planning Committee invites you to submit an abstract for a general, concurrent or poster session on topics related to clinical practice, education, administration, research, patient education and consultation.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE:  Friday, October 29, 2010

Convention Goals:

  • Enhance the practice of vascular nurses and subsequently improve the quality of services provided to patients
  • Formulate strategies to foster the role of the vascular nurse as patient advocate and educator
  • Facilitate networking and professional development of vascular nurses
  • Prepare vascular nurses for roles as clinicians, managers, educators and researchers Presentations should have an interdisciplinary focus whenever possible.

  • Vascular Nursing Assessment


The Convention Planning Committee will review abstracts (blinded) for the general, concurrent and poster sessions based on:

  • Clarity of abstract
  • Description of content
  • Presentation methods
  • Applicability to a variety of practice settings
  • Originality of topic
  • Absence of commercial content
  • Presenter’s professional background and speaking experience


Presenter Note

One presenter per abstract for oral presentation will receive complimentary registration to the convention.  One presenter per abstract selected for poster presentation will receive 50% off the registration fee.  Poster presenters must register for the entire convention.

Publication

The primary presenter for oral and poster presentations must agree to submit a manuscript for possible publication in the Journal of Vascular Nursing no later than 30‐days after the convention.
