The SVN is an organization of professional vascular nurses dedicated to the compassionate and comprehensive care of persons with vascular disease. Our Annual Convention provides the opportunity for vascular nurses to attend a meeting specifically designed and developed for their specialty. 

Many members are Advanced Practice Nurses with Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nursing Education Specialist Certifications. In addition to recommending and administering treatment modalities - including medication, compression garments and wound care - many have prescribing privileges. Cardiovascular Nursing Certification administered through ANCC has been achieved by many of our members independent of educational preparation.
