Membership Website

The Society for Vascular Nursing (SVN) was established in 1982, to promote excellence in care of the patient with vascular disease. To accomplish this goal SVN provides its members with quality educational opportunities, fosters clinical experience, and promotes research. SVN members represent a wide scope of nursing expertise, with members practicing vascular nursing at the bedside in acute care settings, in operating rooms, in clinics, functioning as staff nurses, advanced practice nurses, educators, and researchers. Fifty five percent of SVN members are educationally prepared at the baccalaureate level or higher; 25 percent of these hold masters degrees with three percent prepared at the doctoral level.
